    PAIGE Foundation News

We have had several successful fundraising events thanks to our devoted  staff, faithful volunteers and generous people

everywhere. We have made  several connections with people and organizations and have been able to partner with others who have the same passion and goals – helping women,  babies, children and families. We are thrilled and grateful for every  connection we’ve made over the years. We’re thankful that you have  shown an interest in the foundation as well.

Our spaghetti dinners have built a reputation for being a fun, family-friendly event. We offer a delicious spaghetti dinner with

an Old World Recipe homemade sauce and if that isn’t enough to bring you out we have an amazing selection of raffle prizes, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, a live DJ, and balloon animals. It’s a time for awesome fellowship, meeting new friends, and supporting a great cause. Look for our spaghetti dinner every fall.

We’ve been able to distribute funds to various non-profits  that we network with as well as to individuals in need. With the

funds we  have raised we have provided clothing, high chairs, car seats, cribs,  mattresses and bedding, and formula.

We continue to march forward in our goal of helping young women be who God has intended them to be, saving babies from

being aborted, helping young moms, and doing whatever else we can to promote quality of life. We can only do it with your help. Please consider joining us in our endeavors.

to your organization or members. Please contact us if you would be interested in having a workshop presented at your organization. Please see our website for more detailed bios of the presenters.

    Memoir Writing
    Workshop presented by Heather Waun

In college I had to take a writing course. I did not like writing. One of our assignments changed my perception of writing –

Memoir Writing. Memoirs are short “stories” about either one particular event of your life or about a period of time, all teaching you a valuable lesson and leaving a lasting impact. Immediately I thought of my friendship with Paige and how years later I still feel her all around me. So I began to write…and write….and write. And a funny thing happened. I LOVED writing it! Not only that, I felt this sense of peace come over me throughout the whole project. I want to share that with young women, especially young women going through a life changing event such as pregnancy. The power of writing about something that holds such an importance in your life will help overcome the fear of writing. I even put my memoir into book form, adding pictures, songs, quotes, etc. Whenever I am missing Paige, I can pull out this memoir that came from my heart and receive a little bit of comfort from it.

    Finance and Budgeting
    Workshop presented by Charlotte Pickenpaugh

For most of my career I have worked with finances. I have experience in accounting (accounts receivable and payable), payroll,

budgeting and balancing a check book. In addition, I was single mom for a short while and had to work with a tight budget to support my children on my own. In this workshop I can help young women create a workable budget and I can teach them how to balance a checkbook. (I also assist with the cooking workshop and have great tips on how to cook for a family on a tight budget)

    Coupon Clipping
    Workshop presented by Michelle Villers

As women, most of us are excited about shopping but what makes the experience even better is when we don’t have to pay

full price. I give all kinds of handy tips and tricks to save money when grocery shopping and how and where to find coupons for all kinds of things. After this workshop you will look forward to your next grocery trip to see how much you can save.

    Workshop presented by Michelle Villers

Journaling is one of the best things we can do for our self and our families. Yet, many people don’t journal because of either

fear and/or ignorance about journaling. Journaling helps us de-stress, it keeps our emotions in check, it serves as not only a reminder of our past but a roadmap for our future and it leaves a legacy for future generations. Often people think that journaling is hard work – that you have to be an English major to get it right and that’s the farthest thing from the truth. Anyone and everyone can and should journal and when you take this workshop you will have all the tools you need to start your journal.

    Cooking Class
    Workshop presented by Christina Henry

Cooking for a family these days can be very expensive and one of the largest budget expenditures. However, there is a way to

cook economically and healthy with a little creativity. I will teach you how to make a meal on a budget. At my cooking workshop I will share my kitchen tips and advice such as the staple ingredients every kitchen should have, how to substitute ingredients and how to make something when “there’s nothing in the cupboard to make”. I will demonstrate cooking techniques and we will prepare one of my favorite recipes. (All recipe ingredients provided)

    Memorial Crafting
    Workshop presented by Michelle Villers

Memorial crafts are a way to keep our loved ones close to us. There are dozens of crafts that can be made that incorporate the

memory of a loved one including jewelry, memory lights, scrapbooks and many more ideas. Contact me to discuss what you would like to create at your next group meeting.

    Resume Building & Interviewing
Workshop presented by Michelle Villers and Christina Henry

Are you in-between jobs or entering the job market for the 1st time? We can help you build your resume, learn interviewing

skills, get advice on how to dress, and where to look for your next job. Contact us for a personal one-on-one session.
